The villa is located on the fringe of a coastal village known as Isla Plana, which has a school, medical centre, pharmacy, bank, supermarket and a number of other shops, bars and restaurants. The local residents’ association is a popular spot to enjoy drinks and tapas overlooking one of the pretty little coves of the village.
Isla Plana has historically been one of the most popular places to visit along this wonderful coastline, being a former fishing village to the east of Puerto de Mazarron. Isla Plana is known for its numerous pretty little coves and its stretch of golden sandy beach. A little further east there is another old fishing village known as La Azohia, this has a breathtaking environmentally protected area of unspoilt coastline, with some of the best natural landscapes and wildlife to be seen on the Mediterranean Coastline.
